The company has a strong history, throughout which it has been open to art and culture The Gerardo Cesari winery laid down its roots in 1936, with the passion and intuition of the founder who gave it its name. From its infancy to today, Cesari and his successors have preserved and perpetuated that same spirit, always seeking to increase quality, with profound respect and love for the winemaking tradition. They opened up to markets abroad, beginning mainly with the UK and Germany, consolidating these relations over the years that followed to target increasingly large and prestigious international markets. Today, our wines can be found in 52 countries: Gerardo Cesari has become symbolic of Veronese wine’s global reach. We achieved such excellent results as far back as the 1970s, when the passion and initiative of the Cesari family had already helped our Amarone reach five continents. Pursuing that original vision of producing a great Amarone, they were able to compete with the best red wines, not just at home in Italy but also internationally.
