Grand Rapids Employees Independent Union

Grand Rapids Employees Independent Union is a public sector union serving over 1,000 employees in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We represent clerical and labor class employees within the City of Grand Rapids, the Grand Rapids Public Library, and the 61st District Court. Our mission is to advocate for the rights and well-being of these dedicated public servants. We provide crucial support through contract negotiations, grievance assistance, and member resources, ensuring fair treatment and a positive work environment. Established in 1987, the GREIU remains a vital voice for our members, fostering a stronger, more equitable workplace.
