Grand Rapids Sister Cities International

Grand Rapids Sister Cities International is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering global connections and cultural understanding between Grand Rapids, Michigan, and its six sister cities worldwide. Established in 1990, GRSCI facilitates exchanges in culture, art, education, and community development, strengthening relationships with locations like Bielsko-Biała, Poland; the Ga District, Ghana; Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea; Omihachiman, Japan; Perugia, Italy; and Zapopan, Mexico. By collaborating with the City of Grand Rapids and partnering with national programs, GRSCI promotes international awareness and strengthens community ties.

The organization’s work directly supports economic development and cultural exchange, creating a more interconnected and informed global community. With a dedicated team of members and volunteers, GRSCI continues to build bridges between nations and cultivate lasting friendships.
