Great Alaska Council, Scouting America

Great Alaska Council is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing youth programs across Southeast, South Central, and Western Alaska. For nearly a century, we’ve instilled in young people the values of the Scout Oath and Law, fostering leadership, ethics, and citizenship skills. We serve Alaskan youth through a network of Scout units and support local communities. Our mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes.

We operate through a network of Charter Partners, delivering Scouting programs to diverse communities throughout Alaska. We provide essential resources, including training for volunteers, a dedicated service center with a comprehensive Scout Shop, and opportunities for adventure and personal growth.

The Great Alaska Council’s commitment to youth development and community engagement has sustained us for over 100 years, and we continue to adapt our programs to meet the evolving needs of Alaskan youth. We are proud to be a trusted organization, shaping the lives of young people across the state.
