Great Yellow

Time is of the essence to avert a climate and biodiversity catastrophe, and we must secure and funnel significant funding toward nature restoration for it to be a part of the solution. Great Yellow is an environmental finance consultancy connecting companies and institutional climate investors to verified and impactful nature restoration projects. Our mission is to facilitate investments in voluntary natural capital units, unlocking vital funds to restore nature and address climate change. With a platform that connects investors and land managers, we empower parties to make informed decisions when choosing their partners and facilitate smooth project delivery to maximise the impact of nature restoration initiatives. Together, we can make a lasting impact for generations to come. --- Why the name "Great Yellow"? We're named after the Great Yellow bumblebee: the largest and one of the most endangered species of UK bumblebee. Once found across the UK, they are now limited to the very North of Scotland - pushed north by climate change and habitat degradation. There is a view that, if average temperatures rise by more than the 1.5 degree C limit set by the Paris Accord, the Great Yellow will be forced out of the UK entirely, so it is an exemplar of the human impact on both nature and the wider environment.
