Harmony Springs Christian Church

Harmony Springs Christian Church is a welcoming and progressive church located in Green, Ohio, dedicated to cultivating hope and love for all people. Originally formed from the closure of High Street Christian Church in Akron, we’ve evolved into a community for ‘spiritual refugees’ seeking authentic connection and spiritual growth. We embrace diversity and authenticity, valuing simplicity and spiritual practice that leads to loving action. Our mission is to be a home for spiritual refugees, fostering a space where individuals can find wholeness and belonging. We are rooted in the Disciples of Christ tradition, seeking unity, inclusion, and wholeness in a fragmented world.

We’ve undertaken a significant journey over the past decade, moving from a downtown Akron location to a new facility on Arlington Rd. in Green. This new center, currently under construction, is designed to be a versatile hub for community gatherings, including events, workshops, and community meals. It features a commercial kitchen and ample space to accommodate up to 250 people, reflecting our commitment to serving the needs of our community.

Our core values include innovation, flexibility, and a commitment to challenging and inviting individuals who may not identify as traditional Christians. We strive to live in the way of Jesus, pushing back against injustice, embracing the marginalized, and seeking health and healing for those in need. We are a church deeply connected to our community, united in our pursuit of spiritual wellness and a shared vision for a more just and compassionate world.
