Healthy Start Coalition of Orange County

Healthy Start Coalition of Orange County is a nonprofit organization based in Orlando, Florida, dedicated to improving maternal and child health in Orange County through community partnerships.

Established in 1992 in response to Florida’s high infant mortality rate, the HSCOC works to ensure all babies are given the opportunity to have a healthy start in life. We achieve this by funding and coordinating a network of vital programs, including the Healthy Start Nurse-Family Partnership and Safe Futures (CAPTA).

Our commitment lies in connecting pregnant women and families with young children to the resources they need, such as home-visiting services, parenting education, and early childhood development support. We believe that every baby deserves a healthy start, and we are proud to be a cornerstone of the community’s efforts to achieve this goal.

The Healthy Start Coalition of Orange County has a staff of 17 and a significant impact on the health outcomes of families in Orange County, demonstrating a sustained commitment to improving the lives of mothers and children for over three decades.
