Helix Community Schools

Helix Community Schools is a Louisiana-based charter school network providing innovative academic pathways in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math (STEAM) and the law. Headquartered in Baton Rouge, we are dedicated to preparing students for college and careers through a unique, career-oriented learning environment. We offer a range of specialized academies, including Helix Mentorship & Maritime Academy, Helix Legal Academy, and Helix Aviation Academy, and are expanding to Opelousas with Helix AI & Medical Academy. Our mission is to foster student success and positively impact our community. We are committed to continuous growth and improvement, driven by the support of our partners and families.

Founded in 2019, Helix Community Schools has quickly grown to encompass three schools in Baton Rouge and soon to be two in Opelousas. We’ve been operating in Baton Rouge since 2010, establishing a strong foundation for our expanding programs and curriculum. We are proud to offer a diverse range of academic and extracurricular opportunities, including athletics and the marching band.
