HMS Naiad Association

The HMS Naiad Association is a dedicated non-profit organization preserving the history and legacy of the four HMS Naiad frigates commissioned by the British Royal Navy since 1797. Based in London, this association welcomes all individuals connected to these ships – former crew members, their families, and friends – to foster remembrance and share experiences. We specialize in honoring the service and contributions of those who served aboard the Leander, Dido, and Apollo classes of frigates, particularly those involved in significant historical events such as the Battle of Trafalgar, WWII Malta Convoys, the Icelandic Cod War, and Gulf Patrol.

The Association doesn't hold official crew lists but collaborates with the National Museum of the Royal Navy, the National Archives (UK), and the Ministry of Defence (UK) to provide information and support to those seeking details about their ancestors’ service. Established in 2011 following initial reunions and a website’s surprising growth, the HMS Naiad Association continues to connect individuals and safeguard the memories of these historic vessels.
