Hope's Harbor

Hope’s Harbor is a nonprofit organization based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, dedicated to providing critical hospitality services—including safe housing, nutritious meals, and a supportive community—to families with children receiving medical care.

We understand the immense challenges faced by these families, offering a sanctuary where they can rest, recharge, and remain close to their loved ones during difficult times. Our services are designed to alleviate the burdens of travel, lodging, and daily routines, allowing families to focus on their child’s well-being and healing.

Founded in 1997 by American Airlines captain Jack Arnold, Hope’s Harbor has grown to serve over 14,825 families and provide more than 55,711 nights of respite. We are an independent, nonprofit organization committed to Strength Next Door, offering a vital lifeline to those navigating the complexities of medical care.

Our two hospitality houses, located on the campuses of Lutheran Hospital and Dupont Hospital, stand as beacons of hope, providing comfort and support to families in need.
