HSMAI San Diego Chapter

The San Diego Chapter of HSMAI is one of the most active in this international organization. Our monthly gatherings cover a variety of topics in the hospitality industry, designed to educate and expand industry knowledge among hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue professionals. Meet and make connections with peers through engaging, educational, and social events! Our agenda is filled with everything from engaging educational speakers to just having fun. There is always plenty of time to talk casually to professionals and potential business contacts from all phases of the hospitality industry. Very often, our meetings are held at area venues that cater (literally) to our trade. This will give you an opportunity to see how these facilities perform and also taste the best of their fare. HSMAI's very active Board of Directors carefully chooses our speakers based on the needs of our membership at large and the challenges they face. We feel that continuing education is an absolute necessity in this growing industry. Each year, HSMAI raises educational seed money expressly for students enrolled in Hospitality curriculums in the San Diego area. Funds are also raised to help support several local charities whose important work around the community benefits people infected or affected by the AIDS virus, and children struggling with the emotional and physical scars of child abuse. We welcome professionals whose jobs are in the hospitality trade. The majority of our membership is divided between hotel sales & marketing personnel and people supplying services to the industry. Members are encouraged to become active in the organization, with board members wearing a variety of hats including: planning events, recruiting new members and doing all of the detail work that has continued to make the chapter a success.
