IMechE Process Industries Division

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ Process Industries Division is a leading UK-based organization dedicated to advancing process engineering knowledge and best practices across a diverse range of industries. Serving as a vital resource for members and external bodies, we support professionals and organizations involved in continuous or batch-produced primary production processes. Our focus spans sectors including food and beverage, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, petroleum, ceramics, and more. With regional centres in Manchester and York, we facilitate collaboration, disseminate information, and promote education and training within the process industry. We actively engage with government legislators and international bodies to represent the needs of the sector, organise events, and provide a forum for industry experts to connect and share insights. We are committed to supporting members in their activities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within process engineering.
