Institute of Prevention and Development (IPD)

Institute of Prevention and Development (IPD) is a non-profit NGO, research organization, based in Larissa, Greece, committed to the promotion of prevention culture, personal development and the promotion of wellbeing in the working and social life. By recognizing the importance of wellbeing, our institute develops research and is capable of providing innovative solutions that facilitate the growth of healthy entrepreneurship and promote employment in a health environment. In order to achieve our goal, we adopt an anthropocentric approach and cooperate with social, academic and business partners from all over the world, aiming at producing and transferring know how, promoting entrepreneurial culture and enhancing the effectiveness and viability of enterprises. One of our core competences is the promotion of safety culture in every aspect of everyday life and especially in the workplace. IPD is active both at national and at international level where it cooperates with universities, companies, VET providers and intermediary organizations to foster safety culture, personal development and promote wellbeing, notably developing innovative learning paths and implementing work-based learning mobility schemes. IPD’s mission is the promotion of prevention culture, personal development and wellbeing in the working and social life. In order to achieve this IPD performs research to develop innovative procedures. Those procedures are blended schemes of traditional scientific expertise combined with Coaching and Mentoring in order to achieve the maximum results. The resulted benefits are present in both professional and personal life, enforcing individuals, cultivating safety culture and promoting wellbeing.
