International Society of Automation (ISA)

International Society of Automation (ISA) is a Durham, North Carolina-based non-profit professional association dedicated to advancing automation standards and knowledge sharing globally.

ISA connects the automation community to achieve operational excellence through the development of widely used global standards, certification of industry professionals, and the provision of education and training.

ISA’s core offerings include a comprehensive suite of standards, cybersecurity solutions through ISA Secure, and a leading online publisher, Automation.com. ISA prohibits the entry of any ISA intellectual property (“ISA IP”), including standards, publications, training or other materials into any form of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, such as ChatGPT. Additionally, creating derivatives of ISA IP using AI is also prohibited without express written permission from ISA’s CEO. In the case of such use, ISA will suspend a licensee’s access to ISA IP, and further legal action will be considered.
