Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement (Iowa CCI) is a grassroots organization based in Des Moines, Iowa, dedicated to empowering everyday people to build a more just and sustainable future. Since 1975, Iowa CCI has mobilized Iowans across the state – from rural towns to bustling cities – to address critical issues like factory farms, pipelines, racial justice, and climate change. We champion policies that prioritize the public good, challenging corporate influence and advocating for a democracy where all voices are heard. Iowa CCI unites diverse communities – including farmers, workers, students, and families – through grassroots organizing, education, and advocacy. Our mission is to create a society where everyone has access to clean water, safe food, affordable housing, and a thriving environment.
