Iowa Coalition of Clinical Researchers is a dedicated organization based in Des Moines, Iowa, focused on advancing clinical research and its benefits for patients and the state. We champion the economic value and patient advantages of clinical trials conducted in Iowa, serving a diverse audience including patients, healthcare providers, legislators, policymakers, and business leaders. As the leading advocate for clinical research in Iowa, we strive to educate the public about the vital role these trials play in developing innovative medicines and improving patient outcomes. Since 2004, we’ve worked to increase clinical trial activity in Iowa, fostering collaboration between biopharmaceutical companies, clinical research centers, and local institutions. Our efforts have contributed to over 2,370 clinical trials, supporting over 22,000 jobs and generating significant economic impact – more than $6.7 billion in economic activity and $187 million in impact alone – while addressing critical health challenges such as cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. We are committed to expanding access to clinical trials and promoting diversity within research participation.
