Israeli Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015

Israel has decided to take part to the Expo 2015 Milan to share with the world the technological developments and the innovative systems that it adopts everyday. One of the biggest challenges for the future of humanity will be to guarantee healthy food respecting the environment and its balance. The Israel Pavilion will be the place to meet the most relevant experts and scholars in the field of agriculture and research. The main structure of the Pavilion is a vertical field made of modular tiles used for the cultivation of agricultural crops. Each of these tiles contains a computerised drip irrigation system to optimise the plants growth conditions. Wheat, rice and corn, which are the main sources of vegetarian food, will be grown on the vertical field creating a mosaic of textures, smells and colours. The pavilion has been built with the most advanced green technology devices including energy saving and water and air treatment. The entire structure is eco-friendly and can be dismantled and recycled with no effects on the environment. Israele ha inteso partecipare a Expo Milano 2015, mostrando al mondo intero gli sviluppi tecnologici ed i sistemi innovativi che adotta e che intende condividere con la Società delle Nazioni. Una delle grandi sfide per il futuro dell’umanità sarà garantire cibo sano rispettando la natura ed i suoi equilibri. La principale struttura del padiglione d'Israele è un campo verticale composto da unità modulari coltivabili. Ogni modulo del campo contiene un sistema computerizzato d‘irrigazione a goccia che ottimizza le condizioni di crescita delle piante. In particolare sulla parete troveremo culture di grano, riso e mais, ovvero le maggiori risorse alimentari di origine vegetale. Il risultato è un mosaico di colori e profumi, realizzato grazie a tecnologie sostenibili avanzate che permettono il risparmio di energia e acqua. L’intera struttura è a impatto zero e sarà riciclata al termine dell’esposizione.
