Issue Box Theatre is a nonprofit theatre company based in Toledo, Ohio, dedicated to fostering human dignity through the transformative power of performance.

We create space for vital conversations about social justice, education, and community engagement, using theatrical elements to address complex issues and amplify marginalized voices. Our work blends arts-based programming, storytelling, and improvisation to ensure our productions are accessible and deeply rooted in real-life experiences.

Issue Box Theatre distinguishes itself by intentionally engaging with communities often overlooked by traditional theatre, prioritizing affordability and creating opportunities for empathy and meaningful connection. Founded in 2015, we are committed to bringing the power of theatre to those who need it most, fostering a more just and compassionate world.

Through programs like SEE ME and IMAGINE THAT!, we provide creative outlets and vital support for youth, adults, and seniors, while also developing performances that address critical issues within our community and beyond.
