Italy-ASEAN Association

The Italy-ASEAN Association was established in 2015 to stimulate within both public and private circles in Italy a keener interest in and a better awareness of the South-East Asian countries, members of the Association of SouthEast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Our mission is to strengthen the relationships between Italy, Europe, each of the ASEAN Member States and the ASEAN organization itself, drawing attention to and increasing the focus on an impressive set of reciprocal opportunities. During the past years we have organized and managed more than 60 events and meetings with high level stakeholders and decision makers. During such many initiatives, we had the honour to have discussions with Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte; former Italian Prime Minister and current European Commissioner for Economy, Paolo Gentiloni; former Italian Minister of Economic Development, Carlo Calenda; the ASEAN Secretary General Lim Jock Hoi, and his predecessor, Le Luong Minh; Vietnamese Prime Minister, Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Retno Marsudi; former EU Trade Commissioner, Cecilia Malmström; and former Singapore Deputy Prime Minister and current Senior Minister, Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
