Jubilee Scotland

Jubilee Scotland is an independent coalition of Scottish churches, charities, unions and civil society organisations campaigning for debt and economic justice in the Global South. Based in Edinburgh, the organisation works to eradicate unjust and unpayable poor-country debt through fair and transparent processes, combining advocacy, policy work and media campaigns.

Founded in 2001, Jubilee Scotland focuses on international debt relief, climate debt, and public financing reform, with particular expertise in opposing harmful Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) that drain public resources. The coalition partners with organisations worldwide to challenge exploitative lending practices, expose private financing schemes, and push for systemic economic change that prioritises the needs of developing nations over corporate profit.
