Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies (KRSS)

Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies (KRSS) is a Knoxville, Tennessee-based educational institution dedicated to preparing students for careers in health-focused fitness, coaching, and related fields. We offer undergraduate and graduate programs in Kinesiology, Recreation and Sport Management, and Sport Management, serving over 5,500 students annually through our Physical Education Activity Program. KRSS provides undergraduate students an opportunity to major in either kinesiology or recreation and sport management. Our graduate students can choose to specialize in exercise physiology, biomechanics, sport psychology and motor behavior, physical activity epidemiology, sport management, therapeutic recreation, or socio-cultural studies. We are committed to providing cutting-edge research and inclusive excellence.

The Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, offers a comprehensive range of academic programs designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in diverse careers.
