We are Kollabrio and we are removing the impediments to predictive maintenance that have thus far largely kept the promise of Industry 4.0 from being fulfilled. Research by McKinsey has identified ‘concerns about data ownership’ and ‘challenges with integrating data from disparate sources’ as significant implementation barriers for advanced manufacturers. These barriers are especially detrimental to predictive maintenance applications because they have a chilling effect on the free sharing of machine data.
This is possible through the application of a relatively new concept in the field of artificial intelligence called ‘federated learning’. This approach makes it possible to create predictive model that is shared but trained on data that is kept local.
