LAM was founded in 1982 in Thessaloniki by Lucas Gavriilidis, Antony Barbakyriakos and Michael Mitrou. Broad-minded individuals that first did business by wholesaling Welding and Industrial equipment in northern Greece. In 1989 LAM expands its business activities by opening a new branch in Athens so as to meet demand in southern Greece. The following year, an investment of approximately 600.000€ for a production factory was completed in the area of Mandres Kilkis, where the production line and the corporate headquarters are located. In 1997 the production line is improved with an additional investment of approximately 300.000€ for the construction of a warehouse with a capacity of 2.500 square meters. Having experienced continuous economic growth, LAM always invests in business developing with the most recent one being the automated unit of electrostatic painting for the optimization of the produced products which carry the TÜV HELLAS Certification (CE). In addition to the production line, LAM has collaborated with multiple European suppliers for the Greek market. Brand names include the worldwide known BETA hand-tools,CEMONT Inverters & Welding, FREUD saw blades, FEMI cutting metal machinery, COMET washing machines and ANI paint spray guns.
