Land Trust of North Alabama

The Land Trust of North Alabama is a dedicated nonprofit organization safeguarding the natural beauty and vital resources of North Alabama. Based in Huntsville, Alabama, we protect over 10,000 acres of land through the creation and management of ten public nature preserves, offering 80+ miles of free public trails for hiking and outdoor recreation. We’re committed to environmental education, providing guided hikes, workshops, and programs to foster a deep connection with nature and inspire future stewards. With a team of 16 staff and 2,200 members, the Land Trust plays a crucial role in preserving the legacy of North Alabama’s landscapes for generations to come.
