LAR Ltd was founded in 1997 after a management buyout of Laing Asbestos Removal – part of John Laing Construction Ltd, having held a license since 1985. As a result, LAR has over 30 years’ experience in the removal of asbestos, having safely and effectively carried out projects across the UK, Europe and Africa, with project values up to £3.5 million. With our Head Office based in Stockport, Greater Manchester, we have our own in-house service facility supplying our operatives with a range of specialist equipment. Our business also benefits from having its own waste transfer station and the company is accredited with both an Environment Agency Waste Management Licence and a Waste Carriers Licence. We specialise in providing a Health & Safety conscious method of working in a wide range of industry sectors including: NHS, MOD, local authority, leisure, petrochemical, facilities management, higher education, retail, housing associations, utilities (water, gas, electric and nuclear) to name but a few. LAR has the resources and infrastructure in place to offer a solution to any asbestos abatement project. Through long-standing strategic partnerships, we offer our clients a range of associated services that work seamlessly with our asbestos removal works in order to offer a total solution. Services undertaken in-house: asbestos removal, asbestos encapsulation, asbestos waste collections, asbestos decontamination, face fit testing, pigeon guano removal, reinstatement works, sharps removals and soft strip demolition. Services undertaken via strategic partners: UKAS accredited asbestos surveys (management, refurbishments and demolition), air testing, bulk samples, asbestos awareness training, demolition, decommissioning, dismantling, land remediation, contaminated land assessments, duct cleaning and licensed scaffolding.
