LCW began its activity in 1994 with the designation Lisconcebe, and changed to its present name in 2011. LCW is an engineering consultant specialized in civil engineering design, specially in transportation infrastructures and hydraulic infrastructures. The skills of LCW are regrouped into four types of services: STRUCTURES - The Structures department develops studies and projects of various types, such as: - Bridges and viaducts; - Buildings and special structures; - Rehabilitation, strengthening and widening of existing structures. GEOTECHNICAL - The Geotechnical department develops studies and projects of various types, such as: - Geological studies and Geotechnical design; - Underground structures; - Environmental Geotechnics; - Foundations, retaining walls, slope and cliff stabilizations; - Dams. ROADS AND RAILWAYS - The Roads and Railway department develops studies and projects of various types, such as: - Geometric Design; - Complementary projects; - Baseline studies. HYDRAULIC - The Hydraulic department develops studies and projects of various types, such as: - Water resources planning; - Hydrology; - Water, wastewater and pluvial drainage systems; - Hydraulic structures; - Emergency action plans. OTHER SERVICES - LCW also supplies the following services: - Contractor assistance in bid preparation of alternative offers; - Design review for all phases of the project specially for detailed and final design; - Safety audits.
