LEAN-IN the European Women Business Angels (WBAs) Community

A pan-European, vital ecosystem where female Business Angels and investors can benefit from networking opportunity, powerful learning and training, meet peers and mentors for empowerment of their leadership role, and have the chance to meet promising Women Entrepreneurs or startups looking for investment opportunities. The LEAN-IN European WBAs Network was co-funded by the European Commission and founded by a group of six different organisations, i.e. X23 Srl (Italy) – who designed and coordinated the first two years of bootstrapping the initiative, EBAN (Pan-EU network), Conector Startup Accelerator (E), EstBAN (EE), Starttech Ventures (G), Addidi (UK), and Incubators Tallinn (EE). During 2018, the LEAN-IN European WBAs Network, specifically supported by EBAN, launched the EU WBAs Prize (1st celebration in Sofia, JUN 25th) and awarded the best Women Business Angels in Europe. Over the two first years, the network has grown and expanded from the original 5 to 11 countries in Europe and the community were being signed up by a growing number of extra-EU investments organisations and individual BAs.
