Liukocyte Biosciences is an Irvine, California-based biomedical engineering startup focused on immune-regenerative wound care solutions.

We are pioneering the next generation of treatments for chronic inflammatory conditions, particularly diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), by transforming the body’s own immune response into a healing engine. Our research, originating from Dr. Wendy Liu’s lab at the University of California, Irvine, leverages innovative tissue engineering and immuno-modulation techniques.

Liukocyte Biosciences is committed to developing accessible and effective therapies that improve patient outcomes and reduce the burden of chronic wounds. We are a team of five dedicated biomedical engineering students at UC Irvine, driven by a shared passion for advancing equitable healthcare through innovative, patient-centered solutions.
