Madan Parque

MADAN PARQUE - Science and Technology Park "Madan Parque"​ is a science and technology park established in 1995, but fully operational since March 2000. Its mission is to play an interface role between academia and business, by means of promoting the creation and growth of NTBFs as well as of knowledge intensive projects within the region it is located. "Madan Parque"​ runs a technology-based incubator whose role is of a facilitator and accelerator for the tenant companies. The main goal is to stimulate the creation of NTBFs of various scientific areas, benefiting from the physical proximity to "FCT-UNL"​ ("Faculty of Sciences and Technology | NOVA University of Lisbon"​) which is one of the current shareholders (five in total). The incubator offers a high range of value-added services, aiming at the growth and internationalisation of the supported NTBFs. Local innovation ecosystem comprises a handful of partners, distributed into several layers. The role of "Madan Parque"​ as facilitator and accelerator is supported by a plethora of services structured into 5 business areas, namely: 1) INCUBATION – Basic services; 2) COACHING – Market-Oriented Training & Events; 3) SEED CAPITAL - Network of Investors, funds leverage & support to tenant companies; 4) INTERNATIONAL - Support services to Internationalisation and Cooperative Projects and 5) LABs – Bridging Innovation with "FCT-UNL"​.
