Welcome to MIAH on LINKEDIN. Located at the £21 million Base development within Manchester Science Park, The Manchester Innovation Activities Hub (MIAH) is a pioneering, state-of-the-art innovation and electrification skills training facility to power the low carbon economy. Opening in Summer 2023, it’s a place where things and history will be made. We enable innovative businesses to scale, pivot and future proof their organisation through access to the latest industrial grade fabrication equipment, electrification and industrial digitisation skills training, collaborative R&D projects and access funding under one roof. Birthplace of the First Industrial Revolution, we leverage the research strengths of Greater Manchester’s universities in Advanced Materials & Manufacturing, Power Electronics Machines & Drives, Battery Technologies & Hydrogen. This world class facility specializes in:- • Supporting the entire innovation chain from research, development and demonstration to commercialisation and deployment. • Provision of industrial fabrication equipment for rapid prototyping to support innovative SMEs to de-risk their transition to Net Zero • Plugging emerging skills gaps through rapid upskilling, reskilling and new skilling of homegrown talent and fast tracking them into hard-to-fill occupations in Greater Manchester’s priority growth clean tech sector to well paid jobs. We offer a range of membership packages, where organisations pay an annual fee to access our resources and expertise and collaborate with other companies on specific R&D projects. Membership is open to organisations, businesses, academic and research institutions involved in sustainability. Tier 1 members get the added bonus of a seat on MIAH’s programme board, to shape MIAH policy, technology, capability and innovation focus,
