Marathi Aai Initiative (MAI)

Marathi Aai Initiative (MAI) is a dedicated nonprofit organization serving Marathi-raised mothers and families across North America. We provide a vital, supportive community where women can connect, share experiences, and preserve their cultural heritage – Marathi language, traditions, and values – while building a strong sense of belonging in their new homes. Rooted in the shared experiences of motherhood and a deep connection to Indian culture, MAI offers a nurturing space for mothers to thrive, fostering friendships, and empowering the next generation to embrace their roots with confidence. Through thoughtfully designed events, resources, and a growing network of members, we aim to create a true sense of ‘home’ for Marathi families, celebrating their unique journey and supporting each other every step of the way.
