Fotorealismus ist ein nach der Pop Art vor allem in den USA entwickelter Stil extrem naturalistischer Malerei. Expressive Farbigkeit ist das gemeinsame Hauptmerkmal der Bilder von Marlies Schiller. Seit ihrer frühen Jugend befasst sich die Northeimerin schon mit Kunst. In Seminaren und auf Malreisen vertiefte sie das Wissen um ihr Hobby und malt ausschließlich mit Ölfarben.
