McKinney Camera is an independent Texas media company dedicated to capturing and sharing the authentic stories of the people and communities within North Texas. Founded by Hannah and Matthew Nelson, we operate as The Library Studio LLC, driven by a desire to combat the increasing sense of disconnection and loneliness prevalent in modern life. Inspired by our own experiences of returning to Texas after moving away, we’ve established McKinney Camera to foster a stronger sense of community and connection. We believe that everyday moments – from local artists to family milestones – deserve to be documented and celebrated. Our approach is rooted in genuine connection, prioritizing the people within our stories over corporate interests, and supported by our community members. We’re committed to preserving the character and charm of McKinney, one photograph and video at a time, and building a network of neighbors who feel seen and valued.
