MEAL Center

Overview:‎ MEAL Center (MC) began as an initiative in 2012 with voluntary activities related to MEAL, officially establishing ‎itself in 2017 to become a cornerstone in the MEAL landscape within Yemen and the MENA region. Currently, ‎operating as a for-profit firm and semi-Think Tank Center, MC provides MEAL services to a diverse range of ‎partners in Yemen, including monitoring projects, projects and program evaluations, program reviews, ‎assessments, and research studies like mapping. MC further supports its partners through limited self-funded ‎execution of impactful studies, training, or voluntary assistance to overcome MEAL-related challenges.‎ Mission and Reach:‎ MC operates in Yemen with 3 offices located in Hadramout, Marib, and Aden and a dedicated team of 39 ‎professionals as well as database of over 900 task-oriented experts. ‎ Strategic Objectives:‎ ‎1.‎ Advance MEAL in Yemen:‎ • Spearhead high-quality MEAL practices, including monitoring, evaluation, and review.‎ • Provide technical support to partners for effective program implementation.‎ • Promote the use of MEAL findings to enhance project outcomes.‎ ‎2.‎ Empower MEAL Practitioners:‎ • Use project evaluations to deliver targeted training for partner organizations.‎ • Equip partners' staff with essential skills like logframes, theory of change, and data analysis.‎ ‎3.‎ Foster a Community of Practice:‎ • Enhance networking opportunities for MEAL practitioners, policymakers, and donors.‎ • Establish online platforms for knowledge exchange among practitioners.‎ • Organize regular online events for peer learning and knowledge exchange.‎ MC's Expertise and Services:‎ With a distinguished client portfolio exceeding 100, we serve a spectrum of organizations, including the World ‎Bank, European Union, and a multitude of local and international agencies. Our clients span from NGOs to project ‎management units overseeing initiatives funded by various UN agencies.‎
