Lenora Blackamore established MECCA Marketing Group (MMG) Inc. in 2015. She has more than 20 years of extensive web development and digital strategy experience creating engaging websites for a diverse portfolio of clients. Blackamore’s journey in web development and solutions began in 1996 as a web designer for BankOne in downtown Chicago. Later, she became the Web Manager for Johnson Publishing Company, publisher of Ebony and Jet magazines. Blackamore led the effort to redesign and launch EbonyJet.com, transforming the company from being just a printing and publishing company to an online source for engaging content for Black media. As a direct result of this move, the company’s annual revenue grew by more than $2 million dollars in online advertising alone. Today, the average person has one digital interaction every five minutes. That means, now more than ever, businesses must make each website visit count. MMG acknowledges that many local businesses are not active on search engines like Google and, as a result, are missing out on potential revenue streams.
