MEDIAN-CORRETORES DE SEGUROS was founded in 1974 by Abílio Almeida Santos, after 16 years of professional experience in insurance and the working method of a prestigious North American broker, which gave rise to the desire to build a Portuguese company with the capabilities of efficient insurance advisory. Since August 2023, MEDIAN has become an integral part of the CONCENTRA Group and is now under the management of the second generation. With a reinforced focus on risk management of origin and/or multinational character, MEDIAN has expanded its action beyond national borders, extending to the Iberian scope. Originating in Spain, the CONCENTRA Group has been strengthening its position in the Iberian insurance markets, pursuing the ambition to become the 1st Independent Insurance Broker Group. Aware of the demands of an increasingly globalized world, for more than two decades MEDIAN has been developing external relations with renowned international associations of insurance brokers. MEDIAN regularly attends and actively participates in meetings and conferences where we share our experience and knowledge with our counterparts in other insurance markets.
