Mesa Minerals Partners II LLC (“Mesa II”), is a privately held acquisition company focused on acquiring oil and gas mineral rights. The strategy for Mesa II is to focus on acquisitions of large mineral and royalty portfolios with cash flow of >$15 million/year. Mesa II was founded in July 2021 by Darin A. Zanovich with a $150 million equity commitment from NGP and NGP Royalty Fund. Mesa II has a high-quality, dedicated team with a proven track record managing all aspects of acquisition, evaluation, engineering, finance and management. Mesa II currently owns an interest in over 500 wells and has over 18,000 acres of mineral rights in the core of the Haynesville shale play. Prior to Mesa, the team was integral in managing Haymaker Minerals & Royalties, LLC (“Haymaker”), a Kayne Anderson and KKR-backed mineral entity with interests in over 35,000 wells and over 5 million gross acres. Haymaker successfully sold the majority of its assets in 2018 for over $405 million.
