Micro Digital, Inc is an Irvine, California-based embedded systems security company specializing in SecureSMX, a secure Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) for ARM Cortex-M processors.

For over 45 years, Micro Digital has been a trusted provider of firmware design services to OEMs, initially founded in 1975. We’ve evolved to focus on enhancing the security of microcontroller-based embedded systems and IoT devices, recognizing the growing threat landscape.

SecureSMX utilizes Cortex-M Memory Protection Units (MPUs) to create fully isolated partitions, limiting the impact of potential security breaches. Our approach prioritizes a layered security strategy, moving vulnerable code into umode partitions and employing runtime limiting and resource control. We offer full support for SecureSMX, including partition definition and secure framework development.
