Midland Medical Services Ltd was founded in the mid-eighties and in the autumn of 2000 was the subject of a management buyout by the current directors Keith Merrick and John Wolczek. MMS Ltd are members of both The Medical Gas Association and The Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estates Management. We are based in the heart of the West Midlands, close to junction 2 of the M5, giving us easy access to all major road networks. This shortens our response time. Our core business is piped medical gas installation and maintenance. However the development in the installation business has resulted in our ability to offer the complete package from design through to final commissioning and validation services. Similar developments in maintenance have been made, where careful attention has been paid to customer’s needs, this has led to the provision of an expanded range of services. Particular problems addressed are the modification/repair of old or ‘difficult’ plant items and the extension/integration of current central alarm equipment into older systems. The company operates a quality Assurance system with approval to ISO9001:2008 which is regularly assessed by the British Standards Institution with original approval gained in August 1989.
