Minkpapir manufactures products for mink farmers all over the world, with a highly specialised product combination of semi and fully automated skinning equipment and various auxiliary materials and articles. It is the world's sole manufacturer of shaped adhesive pinning sleeves of perforated paper, and this has earned Minkpapir its present position on the market. The first automated pinning machine was introduced in 1987, and when the company moved to its present address in 1991, the annual production of pinning sleeves was three million. The pinning sleeve was further developed with perforation and a V-shape, and in 1995 the annual production had increased to 15 million. The FIX concept was introduced in 1998 and has undergone constant improvement since then. The increased degree of automation made possible by the FIX equipment from Minkpapir has cut the farmers'​ pinning labour costs by more than half. With the FIX-2 pinning machine introduced in 2004 and the development of peripheral equipment for the mink industry, the total cost of pinning has been reduced by up to 75 percent. All new products made by the company are thoroughly tested and approved at selected test farms before they are released on the market. With its strong foothold in the Danish market, Minkpapir is now also represented on the export markets where the products are winning increasingly large market shares
