Modvion

We build wind turbine towers. In wood. Modvion accelerates the transition to renewable energy and materials by building wind turbine towers made from laminated wood – nature’s own carbon fibre. Wooden designs enable radical reductions in emissions by replacing emission-heavy material such as steel and concrete. Thanks to a patented modular system, Modvion has been able to develop wind towers that can reach the heights the wind power industry is striving for whilst remaining cost-efficient. The modules can be easily stacked on trucks and transported on roads, without the need for road closures and lengthy permit procedures. Modvion's tower technology is the next generation of tall, carbon-neutral towers for the wind power industry - renewable energy built with renewable materials. The operation is part-financed by the Swedish Energy Agency, the Västra Götaland region and the EU program Horizon 2020 EIC Accelerator.
