National Professional Lobbyists Association

The National Professional Lobbyists Association (NPLA) is a leading organization dedicated to elevating and expanding opportunities within the government affairs profession, particularly for African American lobbyists. Founded in 2019 in response to systemic inequities, NPLA provides a national platform for professional advancement, strategic partnerships, and increased visibility. Originally established as the National Black Professional Lobbyists Association (NBPLA), the organization has evolved to reflect its broader scope and national reach, now operating as NPLA. With a strong focus on cultivating talent and building influence, NPLA supports over 274 members and has impacted the careers of more than 120 legislators. NPLA’s mission is to bridge the gap between exceptional advocacy professionals and meaningful opportunities, fostering a more inclusive and equitable landscape for all.
