Nocira is a pre-market medical device company based in Tempe, Arizona, pioneering disruptive neuromodulation technology for the treatment of acute migraines. We develop and evaluate an investigational new migraine treatment device utilizing precisely controlled, gentle puffs of air delivered to the ear to stimulate pressure-activated sensory neurons and reset pain mechanisms in the brain. Our approach offers a drug-free, comfortable, and reliable alternative to traditional migraine therapies, aiming to provide rapid and effective relief without the undesirable side effects often associated with medication. Nocira’s technology is designed to harness the body’s natural sensory response to subtle pressure changes, providing a pleasurable and soothing therapeutic experience. Currently, we are preparing to conduct a double-blinded, randomized, placebo-controlled, multi-center clinical trial to formally evaluate the clinical effectiveness and safety of our platform in a wider patient population. Furthermore, our innovative design incorporates a Bluetooth-connected mobile app for patient control and monitoring, creating a ‘smart’ and adaptable solution for migraine management.
