North Carolina Arts in Action

North Carolina Arts in Action is a Durham, North Carolina-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring performance and empowering children through dance and live music.

We provide curriculum-integrated dance residencies to elementary schools across Orange, Durham, Wake, and Chatham counties in North Carolina. Our programs utilize a proven methodology to foster self-esteem, resilience, critical thinking, and collaboration in young students.

Through partnerships with individual schools and private funding, we bring the joy of dance and music to thousands of children each year, fostering a love of the arts and equipping them with valuable life skills. We are proud to be a national independent associate of the National Dance Institute, carrying on Jacques d’Amboise’s legacy of providing accessible arts education to underserved children.
