Not Just October

Not Just October is a dedicated non-profit organization based in Akron, Ohio, providing vital support to breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including lawn care and snow removal, home cleaning, carpet cleaning, wigs, tutoring, make-up services, massages, and a fully stocked pantry, all designed to alleviate the burdens associated with a cancer diagnosis. Founded in 2014 by Lavar Jacobs Sr. in memory of his mother, Kim Jacobs, Not Just October’s mission is to foster a culture of encouragement, advocacy, and total support, raising awareness around breast cancer and its impact on communities nationwide. We strive to improve the lives of those affected by this disease through community engagement and dedicated resources.
