Ohio Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (OAMIC)

Founded in 1879, the Ohio Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (OAMIC) is an insurance trade organization. It is comprised of mutual and stock insurance companies which provide property and casualty insurance coverage for the people of Ohio. OAMIC has a membership of more than 50 companies who vary in size from a few thousand in premium dollars to hundreds of millions. Regardless of the diversity of size found in its membership, the association strives to mirror the commitment of its members to the people of Ohio. In addition, OAMIC also has an associate membership base composed of groups which support the insurance industry. These associate members include, but are not limited to, reinsurers, law firms, independent adjusters, accounting firms, and data processing services. It takes a multi-faceted’ organization to effectively assist its members in serving Ohio’s insurance needs. OAMIC’s members furnish their Association with the guidance and support needed to meet the challenges of the present and of the future.
