Olympia Odos (Athens, Korinthos, Patra, Pyrgos motorway)

OLYMPIA ODOS S.A. was established in 2008 and since then it implements the Concession Agreement for Elefsina-Korinthos-Patras-Pyrgos Motorway. It is one of the most important strategic projects in Greece, since it connects the Greek capital with the most important gate of Greece to Europe, i.e. the port of Patras. The new, modern and comfortable motorway offers also an enhanced and safer connection to archaeological sites, tourist and agricultural regions on the southwestern part of Greece. Olympia Odos SA, in its capacity as concessionaire, is responsible for the design, financing, construction and operation of the Motorway. Moreover, since August 2008, at the beginning of the Concession Period, a permanent Operation scheme (Olympia Odos Operation SA) has been installed on the Project, being responsible for toll collection, customer service, traffic management and routine maintenance. With more than 480 employees, among whom patrolling teams, intervention teams and technical maintenance personnel, in cooperation with specialized subcontractors (road assistance, specialized maintenance technicians, etc.), as well as the emergency services (Traffic Police and Fire Brigade), OLYMPIA ODOS OPERATION is in a state of readiness 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide road assistance to the passing drivers in case of incident, as well as to ensure a high level of daily maintenance of the road network. The two companies are consortiums formed by Greek and foreign companies, as follows: VINCI CONCESSIONS S.A.S. (29.9%) AVAX CONCESSIONS SINGLE MEMBER S.A. (19.1%) HOCHTIEF PPP SOLUTIONS (17%) AKTOR CONCESSIONS S.A. (17%) GEK TERNA SA (17%).
