PLAYWRIGHTS ROUND TABLE INC

Playwrights’ Round Table is Orlando’s oldest theater producing a full season of original plays. Since 1997, we have empowered and celebrated playwrights. PRT hosts free play writing workshops every second Sunday of the month and the following Monday online. Every year, we produce short play festivals and world premiere full length plays and musicals. All of our shows are produced in partnership with local directors, actors and theater artists.

We develop original theatrical works year-round through monthly workshops, staged readings, and productions of select plays. These activities support the development and artistic growth of area playwrights and introduce local audiences to new voices of the American stage.

Founded in 1997, Playwrights’ Round Table has presented over 500 new plays by over 100 different playwrights, fostering a vibrant community of artists and audiences. Our board of directors, led by Chuck Dent, is dedicated to nurturing new works and providing opportunities for local talent.

We are a non-profit 501C-3 arts organization, committed to supporting playwrights, actors, and artists in bringing new plays to a live audience.
