Polaris Wilderness Adventure offer Bushcraft & Survival day workshops and overnight courses that teach a range of modern and traditional living skills that enrich understanding and connection with the natural world and our own past. Based in Bayford, Hertfordshire with direct train links to central London, our private 45 acre ancient woodland offers a perfect base to escape into the wilderness. Learn a range of skills including bushcraft skills in shelter building, fire lighting and management, camp craft, water sourcing and purification, use of different bushcraft tools (knives, axes), plant and tree identification and use, foraging for food and medicine, tracking and animal sign and behaviour. All courses are held outdoors in a relaxed expedition-style camp with a covered teaching area where a kettle is constantly on the fire and refreshments and biscuits are available. Sleep in the ancient woodland under your tent or tarp - we can also arrange to lend you these if required; We do not believe that a lack of equipment should prevent people from experiencing the great outdoors!
