Positron Ventures is a (pre-)seed fund for European science startups that create step-change progress in environment or health and can benefit from operational involvement by our team of entrepreneurs, dealmakers and teambuilders. The next wave of innovation will be driven by science startups working on breakthroughs developed at universities and semi-public R&D centres. Progress in the fields of energy generation and -storage, efficiency of production processes and healthcare is largely dependent on the success of these startups. Positron Ventures specialises in finding and unlocking the value of science startups. We engage with world-class scientists working on scientific breakthroughs in the very early stages of building their company. We recognise that bringing ‘just-from-the-lab’ technologies to market can be a struggle. We therefore act as coaches, confidants and sometimes a shoulder to cry on. Initial ticket size ranges from € 250k to € 3 million. Maximum exposure to a single portfolio company is € 8 million.
